Job Summary:
HORIZON SERVICES, INC. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our team at the Cherry Hill Detox center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Perform health screenings for all potential clients and monitor vitals, medical triage, and assess clients' needs for sobering.
- Maintain accurate records of client medication in logbooks and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Assess clients' needs for sobering and provide appropriate care, including rapid risk intoxication assessments and vital sign monitoring.
- Document observations every 30 minutes and case notes every 6 hours, including medications, observations, case management, crisis interventions, and discharge planning.
- Create a welcoming environment for participants and respond to crises, emergencies, and other client needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Coordinator to reduce excessive emergency room visits for medication clearances and support maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
- Current LVN or LPT licensure
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of substance use disorders, mental health, and crisis intervention
- 2 years of relevant experience, preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification
- CA driver's license and good driving record, depending on program

$35-$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Available for a full-time position.
