About the Role

This is a 6-month contract position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge drug discovery projects in medicinal chemistry.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate research associate to support several grant-funded projects in medicinal chemistry. The successful candidate will have experience with modern synthetic and purification techniques and the characterization of small molecules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, synthesize, isolate, and purify novel small molecules to advance ongoing projects.
  • Document work in electronic notebooks in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and effectively present results to the chemistry team.
  • Work in partnership with team members and collaborators to deliver on project goals and milestones.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Chemistry or a closely related field with 0-2 years of organic chemistry/molecular chemistry research experience.
  • Experience with single and multi-step chemical synthesis.
  • Familiarity with modern normal phase, reverse phase chromatography, and HPLC purification techniques.
  • Familiarity with analyzing LCMS and NMR spectra to support compound characterization and registration.
  • A proven record of successful communication and interaction with project team members.
