We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Technician Apprentice to join our team at the State of Idaho. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of transportation infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and signs.
  • Operate a variety of power tools and equipment, including heavy machinery and construction equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and field tests on construction and maintenance projects.
  • Perform entry-level traffic services activities, such as striping and replacing traffic signs and posts.
  • Work in a team environment to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
  • Previous experience in transportation maintenance or engineering.
