We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Success Mentor to join our team at the Bronx Academy for Multi-Media. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students, while fostering strong relationships with their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish trusting relationships with students and families, providing personalized support and guidance to overcome attendance challenges.
  • Develop and implement SMART plans to address specific attendance obstacles, such as Family Health & Wellness, Time Management, and Parent/Student Motivation.
  • Conduct daily student check-ins, tracking academic progress and providing ongoing support to ensure students stay on track.
  • Perform home visits and parent conferences to foster strong home-school connections and early intervention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align services with students' needs, addressing attendance challenges and promoting academic success.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience working with elementary/middle school students and families, preferably in Youth Development, Social Services, or Community Engagement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with some college education in a related field being a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with practical decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset.
  • Availability for local travel and occasional evening hours to accommodate family needs.
