Job Title: Restorative Justice Faculty

Vermont Law School invites applications for a full-time faculty member with expertise in Restorative Justice and a commitment to racial, social, and economic justice.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will serve as the principal coordinator of the Restorative Justice program, teaching one or more Restorative Justice courses, and overseeing the continued implementation of the program's courses, certificate, and master's degree programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Restorative Justice courses and develop new courses and curriculum
  • Coordinate the Restorative Justice program, including recruiting students and faculty, and advising students
  • Support the creation of new courses and experiential offerings, and supervise externships
  • Mentor students in learning, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Provide timely feedback and assessment using campus-provided platforms
  • Fulfill committee and service requirements for all faculty
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. preferred; master's degree required
  • Experience in restorative justice practices
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrated success in obtaining external program funding
  • Understanding of and appreciation for inclusion, including the ability to work with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds, identities, and viewpoints
