Laboratory Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory department, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee quality assurance activities and the event reporting process.
- Analyze trends and patterns in data collected.
- Assist in the development of corrective action plans.
- Ensure timely submission of investigative and corrective action reports to laboratory and organizational stakeholders.
- Plan and conduct or coordinate audits of laboratory departments.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for process optimization.
- Monitor progress of changes implemented to ensure effectiveness and sustainment of interventions.
- Maintain records of quality assurance activities, including audit reports, corrective actions, preventive measures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with laboratory leaders to ensure accurate completion and timely submission of State, Federal, and regulatory documents.
- Participate on and facilitate cross-functional teams, committees, and workgroups to identify and address opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate the development of evidence-based, standardized practices to achieve and sustain quality, safety, customer satisfaction, operational, and financial performance excellence.
- Participate in inspections by internal and external sources.
- Serve as a regulatory resource to laboratory leaders.
- Collaborate with leaders in the development and review of laboratory documents and strategies to ensure ongoing compliance and consistency with best practices and regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Oversee the review and evaluation of training, competency assessment, maintenance, validation, proficiency testing, quality control, and other work records to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards and requirements.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Clinical Lab Supervisor License (SU LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL) and Clinical Lab Technologist License (TN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL) required.
