We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing leadership to the laboratory staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage laboratory budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare financial reports.
- Supervise laboratory staff, provide training and development opportunities, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure accurate and timely testing of specimens, maintain quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Collaborate with medical staff, other departments, and external partners to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as medical technology or laboratory science.
- At least three years of experience in a laboratory management role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems, quality control and quality assurance programs, and regulatory standards.
The Laboratory Manager will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with frequent exposure to biohazardous materials, chemicals, and other hazardous substances. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
