As a key member of the UGI Utilities team, the Electrical Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Electric Distribution Line Department. This includes managing a team of experienced linemen, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Supervise a team of 10-15 Journeyman Linemen, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and training needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Work Coordination: Coordinate with other departments and external customers to ensure that all work is completed on time and to the required standard.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of work performed by the linemen, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to ensure that all work meets the required standards.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for the linemen, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Education: A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in electric utility distribution design, construction, and maintenance, with increasing responsibility and skill level.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of experienced linemen. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
