Idaho State Veterans Home Nurse Position

The State of Idaho is currently hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and working closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
This challenging position requires strong communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver practical nursing care or assist registered nurses and physicians in routine to complex situations.
- Document residents' treatment, care, symptoms, physical and mental condition, behavior, and progress, accurately and thoroughly.
- Administer prescribed medications, including intramuscular injections, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various treatments, such as changing sterile dressings, inserting nasal gastric tubes, catheterization, and removing sutures, safely and efficiently.
- Counsel and instruct residents on their basic health needs, promoting independence and well-being.
