Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. As a key member of our Medicaid division, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing Medicaid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain expertise in state and federal laws and regulations affecting Medicaid
  • Oversee and track corrective action plan development and implementation across various bureaus
  • Lead responses during state and federal audits, providing technical assistance and legal opinions as needed
  • Collaborate with policy teams to implement regulation changes and develop compliance resources
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Administration, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in management, leadership, or a related field
  • Knowledge of management practices, technical proficiency, problem-solving, communication, and program area training
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active member in good standing of the Idaho State Bar Association
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations affecting Medicaid
  • Experience providing legal opinions and technical assistance for health and human services organizations
