KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct preventive, reactive, and predictive mechanical and electrical maintenance across all UDA facilities.
  • Perform industrial pneumatic diagnostics and repairs on valves, banks, and fittings.
  • Execute various electrical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, installation, and repairs of 3-phase motors, contactor relays, blown fuses, overload starters, VFDs, motors, and PLCs.
  • Carry out plumbing repairs involving PVC, copper, and stainless-steel fittings.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize maintenance requests based on their impact.
  • Develop effective procedures for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and validating quality solutions.
  • Document and report repairs in the CMMS system, providing regular updates to the maintenance team.
  • Perform mechanical work on pumps and maintain pump programs.
  • Uphold food safety and quality standards, addressing compliance issues promptly.

Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts (nights or days - 6 to 6); following a 2-2-3 schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical, pneumatic, boiler, and refrigeration systems, as well as motors, compressors, gearboxes, and pumps.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively diagnose, troubleshoot, and execute complex repairs.
  • Expertise in equipment systems troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to make decisions based on mechanical and electrical principles with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in lubrication principles and techniques, including bearing types and usage.
  • Experience in utility and HVAC/R maintenance and repairs.
  • Capability to interpret technical prints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and various lifts.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Basic typing skills and familiarity with CMMS or EAM software.

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • General knowledge of the food and beverage industry is required.

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment by visually assessing its condition.
  • Ability to hear and speak in environments with elevated noise levels.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 55 lbs, and occasionally up to 150 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
  • Ability to work safely with hazardous materials.
  • Occasional operation of a forklift.
