Job Title: Senior Advanced Software Engineer

Join General Dynamics Mission Systems as a Senior Advanced Software Engineer and be part of a team that designs, develops, and tests specialized solutions for space and intelligence systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the software development life cycle, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Apply technical standards and methodologies to solve complex challenges and drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in embedded real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Integrity, PetaLinux) and C/C++, Java, and Python programming languages.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
