Key Responsibilities:
As a Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and analyzing quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
2. Conducting in-depth variance analysis to interpret balance sheet line items.
3. Implementing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.
4. Utilizing advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, for data analysis and reporting.
5. Managing accounting tasks for private equity real estate funds and private credit.
6. Preparing and reviewing fund-level financial statements, including the Statement of Net Assets and Statement of Operations.
7. Collaborating with external auditors to facilitate timely audits.
8. Assisting with various projects and initiatives as directed by management.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting roles.
3. Strong understanding of GAAP, Financial Accounting, and Fund Accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
5. Experience in accounting for private equity real estate funds and private credit is advantageous.
6. A solid grasp of balance sheet and variance analysis.
7. Proven ability to establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
10. Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
11. CPA designation or progress towards obtaining it is preferred.
