We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at The Smith Consulting Group. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading our Land Development and Energy projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction to other engineers, designers, and CADD technicians.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of proposed project scopes and fees.
  • Conduct constructability and design reviews of design and construction plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates.
  • Participate in construction services, including contract administration and construction observation.
  • Conceptualize the initial design approach for projects and have overall responsibility for the project design through completion.
  • Establish project priorities and standards.
  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities with other disciplines and departments.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the work of the project team.
  • Attend and participate in client and agency meetings.
  • Visit project sites to review conditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School; EIT or Registered as a Professional Engineer.
  • Minimum of 4 years of design experience with increasing project responsibility.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong delegation skills to coordinate the work of the project team.
  • Proven ability to serve as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and other consultants.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
