Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Access Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits, performing pre-certification, and ensuring maximum reimbursement for patients. You will work closely with other departments and referring physician offices to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  1. Verify insurance benefits and perform pre-certification for Surgical Day Care Patients, Observation Patients, Inpatients, and Outpatient procedures.
  2. Work closely with other departments and referring physician offices to ensure timely and accurate medical services.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to resolve issues and concerns.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, insurance verification, and pre-certification.
  5. Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to stay current on policies and procedures.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Patient Registration Director or Manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of clerical experience in a professional customer service-oriented office environment.
  • At least one year of insurance verification/pre-certification experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
