Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Pediatric Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide essential speech and language services to students from preschool through high school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement speech and language intervention plans as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions focusing on articulation, language, fluency, and social communication skills.
Assessment and Documentation:
  • Assist in the collection of data for speech and language assessments.
  • Document student performance and progress accurately.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
  • Valid SLPA license or certification in the state of Florida.
