About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Aequor. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders in our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse needs.
- Conduct screenings to identify voice and speech disorders.
- Educate patients and families about speech disorders, including their causes and management.
- Maintain detailed records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
- Report patient progress to relevant parties, including family members, educators, and medical professionals.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Illinois license or certification, or ability to obtain.
- Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Experience with specific conditions or age groups is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with computers and healthcare databases.
- Attentive and empathetic with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
