Key Responsibilities- Patient Check-in and Registration: Verify patient information, collect payments, and update insurance records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Front Desk Operations: Greet patients, employees, and visitors, and ensure that all necessary screening measures are followed, including mask mandates, temperature checks, and health screening questions.
- Insurance and Demographic Information: Obtain and verify insurance documentation and demographic information, adhering to HIPAA standards.
- Administrative Tasks: Process new patient paperwork, update existing records, and prepare for upcoming appointments.
- Communication and Customer Service: Explain insurance authorization to patients, respond to requests and needs, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Financial Transactions: Count petty cash and document transactions on a log.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of healthcare front desk experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical terminology and insurance.
