Nurse Aide in Training Job Description

PACS Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aide in Training to join our team. As a Nurse Aide in Training, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Orientation: Familiarize yourself with the facility's administrative structure and policies.
  • Resident Identification: Use wristbands or photo cards to identify residents and ensure accurate care.
  • Reporting Incidents: Report all accidents and incidents to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
  • Documentation: Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts in a clear and descriptive manner.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of resident care information and report any suspected or known violations.
  • Teamwork: Cooperate with inter-departmental personnel and other facility staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow established policies for exposure to blood/body fluids and report any incidents.
  • Housekeeping: Ensure resident rooms are ready for receiving residents, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Transportation: Assist with transporting residents to new rooms or to the receiving area.
  • Communication: Participate in and receive the nursing report as instructed, and answer resident calls promptly.
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Food and Fluid Management: Record resident food/fluid intake and report changes in eating habits to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
  • Water Pitcher Maintenance: Keep residents' water pitchers clean and filled with fresh water.
  • After-Meal Care: Perform after-meal care, including removing trays and cleaning residents' hands, face, and clothing.
  • Policy Adherence: Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
