Job Summary

PACS Inc is seeking a highly skilled Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Verify the identity of residents before administering medications.
  • Accurately measure and record vital signs of residents.
  • Document all medication administration, including any errors or reactions.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and committees to improve medication management practices.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure accurate and safe medication administration.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures regarding medication storage, disposal, and labeling.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procedures to prevent medication errors.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on medication management best practices.
Requirements
  • Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
  • Must be a licensed Medication Aide with successful completion of a state-approved training program and any necessary examination(s).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Work Environment

The work environment is usually low to moderate noise level. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
