Job Overview

Medical Services of America Hospice of the Upstate is seeking an experienced Hospice Aide/CNA to provide support services for patients in Oconee, Anderson, and Pickens Counties, SC.

About the Role

This position involves providing personal care and activities of daily living assistance under the supervision of professional staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering personalized care based on patient plans.
  • Ensuring safety and proper body mechanics when performing specific techniques such as ambulation, transferring patients, and assisting with normal range of motion and positioning.
  • Preparing and serving adequate nutrition and fluid intake, and providing medically prescribed diets under supervision.
  • Observing changes in patient condition or expectations of service and reporting promptly to skilled nurses via phone, documenting communication in clinical notes within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a state-recognized Certified Nursing Assistant course.
  • A valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification as required by the state.
  • A valid driver's license and company-recommended auto-liability insurance.
