About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Services Director to join our team at Atria Senior Living - Cary. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen and dining venues, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all Culinary Services staff, including scheduling, assignment, direction, performance review, and hiring.
  • Meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels are maintained.
  • Work with the restaurant manager or coordinator to provide high levels of customer service and create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
  • Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with back and front of the house operations as needed.
  • Delegate tasks to ensure the kitchen and restaurant areas are maintained at the highest levels of cleanliness and quality.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served according to Company standards and state and/or local health code requirements.
  • Conduct monthly department meetings and in-services to maintain open communication and ensure staff are aware of company expectations.
Requirements
  • Five (5) or more years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees.
  • Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards.
  • Basic Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
