Your Role: As a Patient Service Representative in our Head/Neck Surgery department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Interaction: Engaging with patients and healthcare providers to collect necessary information for accurate registration.
- Appointment Management: Scheduling and confirming appointments, both in-person and via phone, while ensuring proper insurance details are recorded.
- Financial Transactions: Handling point of service payment collections and addressing customer billing inquiries.
- Check-In/Check-Out Process: Managing the patient check-in and check-out process, which includes verifying identification and confirming demographic and insurance information.
- Referral Management: Initiating and validating referrals and authorizations as needed.
- Customer Service Excellence: Adopting a proactive approach to customer service by actively listening to patients, taking ownership of their concerns, and escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
