About the Role:
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience to join our team. As a Nurse Specialist, you'll work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide developmentally appropriate care and implement comprehensive plans of treatment. Your responsibilities will include prescribing, delegating, and coordinating patient care, as well as providing education and facilitating learning for patients, families, and the patient care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care, utilizing clinical judgment based on nursing skills acquired through formal and informal experiential knowledge and evidence-based guidelines.
- Develop and implement an appropriate plan of care, promoting comfort and meeting standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights, and guest relations.
- Oversee care delivered by the patient care team, coordinate plans of care, and advocate for patients, representing their concerns and identifying and assisting in resolving ethical and clinical concerns.
- Accurately and thoroughly document all patient encounters in EPIC and ensure that Patient Health Information (PHI) is protected and secured at all times.
- Deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs, working collaboratively with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of RN experience is required, with at least 1 year of job-related experience preferred.
- A four-year Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required, along with a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association is also required.

- A competitive salary of $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
