Project Engineer - MEP

Southland Industries is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our commercial MEP projects. Your primary responsibilities will include estimating, financials, and project engineering within the design-build construction process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate the impact of project changes and provide information to applicable management.
  • Manage change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
  • Procure equipment, materials, and services, and participate in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and analyze and resolve basic questions and problems as needed.
Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
  • Entry-level position.
  • Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing drawings.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office products, such as Excel.
