Project Engineer Role Summary

As a Project Engineer at Southland Industries, you will play a crucial part in the success of our commercial MEP projects. Your responsibilities will include estimating the impact of project changes, managing change orders, and procuring equipment and materials. You will also participate in the selection and hiring of subcontractors and stay current on emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimate the impact of project changes and provide information to applicable management.
Manage change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
Procure equipment and materials, and participate in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
Stay current on emerging trends and analyze and resolve basic questions and problems as needed.

Requirements:

Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
Entry-level position.
Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing drawings.
Basic verbal and written communications skills.
Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
