Our unique combination of General Practice, Specialty Medicine, and 24-hour Emergency Care ensures that each day brings new challenges and opportunities to positively impact the lives of pets and their owners.
Role Overview:
As the Emergency & Critical Care Clinical Supervisor, you will be instrumental in the training, management, and teamwork on the floor . Working closely with the management team and assistant supervisor, you will guarantee high-quality, comprehensive medical services to enhance both client and patient experiences. Your duties will include scheduling, training, and nurturing a collaborative environment among team members.
This position is 75% technical and 25% administrative.
Compensation:
- $31 - $38 based on experience and skills assessment
- Potential for higher compensation with advanced expertise
- Full-time, 36-40 hours weekly, including one weekend shift and up to 3 holidays
- Assess staffing requirements in accordance with client needs and budget limitations.
- Understand the workflow of each department to enhance operations.
- Actively engage in problem-solving for daily operations.
- Build positive working relationships across all departments.
- Promote trust, respect, communication, and collaboration among team members.
- Advocate for the satisfaction of both internal and external clients.
- Serve as the primary resource for all departments when necessary.
- Coordinate and supervise the training and skill development of staff.
- Collaborate with personnel at all levels and departments to optimize service delivery without compromising care quality or hospitality.
- Participate in the recruitment process, onboarding of new employees, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and service requirements.
- CVT certification required
- VTS certification is a significant advantage
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Must demonstrate effective leadership qualities.
- Ability to foster effective communication among team members
- Professionalism in all interactions is essential
- Proven ability to lead by example
