SESI Consulting Engineers, a leading consulting engineering firm, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to support our organic growth. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of civil, geotechnical, and environmental projects, expanding your industry skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the conduct of civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering-related services, including the inspection of compacted fills, utilities, asphalt, concrete, and sitework elements.
- Perform tasks to enhance the efficiency of our Staff Engineer/Associates, including research and data entry.
- Conduct geotechnical engineering laboratory tests and prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
- Identify potential new projects and opportunities to promote our services.
- Travel up to 75% of the time, which may include out-of-state assignments.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills, with a willingness to spend the majority of work hours in the field.
- BS in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to access job sites.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts, with proficiency in basic algebra and geometry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, NitroPro, MS Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Ability to use tools such as a lump hammer, shovel, hand auger, and Nuclear Density Gauge.
The work environment is dynamic, with approximately 25% to 75% of the work conducted outdoors. Employees must be able to walk frequently on uneven hard and soft ground/terrain in all types of weather conditions. Appropriate clothing, work boots, safety glasses, hard hat, and safety vest are required while working in the field.
