Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Staff Engineer to support our organic growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within your area of assigned responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and conformance to specifications and procedures
  • Design portions of projects and make calculations using engineering formulas and skills
  • Instruct drafters on how to reduce designs into completed drawings
  • Lead concrete and rebar inspection testing and conduct routine geotechnical engineering laboratory checks
  • Perform research and write reports, prepare samples of unapproved materials for laboratory testing, and use computer programs to solve engineering problems
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, provide reports on project milestones, and adjust schedules accordingly
  • Identify project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting organization managers
  • Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
  • Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 0 to 3 years of Site Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental engineering experience
  • Previous internship or construction experience is preferred
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred or ability to become registered within six months
  • ACI/NICET/NJ DCA Special Inspector and Nuclear Densometer certification a plus
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to access job sites
