Job Overview

As a Mobile Crane Specialist at Wide Effect, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our crane fleet. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our high standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Crane Operation & Inspection: Operate and meticulously inspect cranes to identify any potential issues.
  • Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair a range of mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes, with a focus on hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Component Examination: Utilize precision tools to assess parts for wear and damage, and accurately interpret technical documentation.
  • Testing & Compliance: Conduct tests on mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems post-repair to ensure compliance with OEM standards.
  • Job Preparation: Confirm the accuracy and completeness of parts and schematics prior to commencing work.
  • Annual Inspections: Execute thorough annual inspections of cranes to maintain operational integrity.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation, including work logs and expense reports.
  • Independent Work: Carry out tasks autonomously, demonstrating self-sufficiency.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of experience as a Crane Technician. Experience with various mobile cranes is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on client satisfaction.
  • Licensing: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer applications is preferred.
  • Tools: A complete set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches is required.
Health & Safety Requirements:
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols during job performance.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Utilize the necessary PPE as dictated by company policy for each task.
  • Safety Procedures: Follow established safety and health guidelines consistently.
