Payroll Process Improvement Specialist

The Fountain Group is a prominent provider of recruitment services, seeking a highly skilled Payroll HRIS Analyst to join our team. As a company that values innovation and excellence, we require an individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify gaps and inefficiencies in business processes and suggest solutions.
Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for process optimization.
- HRIS Application Management: Lead the review, testing, and implementation of upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Documentation: Develop documentation for system design and processes to support training and education.
- Data Integrity: Maintain HRIS system tables and data integrity processes.
- Project Management: Act as project manager to implement large-scale, inter-departmental changes.
- Service Request Tickets: Submit and monitor service request tickets for payroll-related issues.
- Query and Report Development: Develop and maintain queries and reports to support payroll processes.
- Troubleshooting: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve HRIS system and reporting issues.
- SOPs and Audit Controls: Setup and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and work with internal and external auditors on process workflows and key audit controls.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum HS Diploma/GED required.
- HRIS Experience: Proficient with HRIS application.
- Payroll Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in multi-state payroll processing.
- Skills: Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems (*Workday strongly preferred).
- Qualifications: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to apply payroll functional knowledge to troubleshoot and improve business processes.
