Job Summary

As a Payroll Specialist at American Iron & Metal, you will play a critical role in the success of our organization. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for processing payroll for over 400 employees across multiple states on a bi-weekly schedule. This position requires a high level of knowledge of wage and hour laws as well as payroll taxation laws in multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain accurate employee records ensuring timely updates.
  • Review changes for compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
  • Verify transactions prior to payroll transmission.
  • Administer electronic timekeeping and Payroll systems.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations. Key qualifications include:
  • 5+ years of full cycle payroll experience.
  • High level of knowledge of wage and hour laws.
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll software (e.g. ADP, Paychex, Ceridian Dayforce).
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish is an asset.
