Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Naval Facilities Engineering Command. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the design and implementation of electrical systems meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze electrical design plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
  • Develop and implement electrical design solutions to resolve technical problems and complications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project roles and responsibilities.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to various personnel on program status, technical problems, scheduling, and costs.
  • Develop and maintain electrical design drawings, calculations, and specifications using electrical engineering design software.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent. You must also have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, or a related field, and be registered as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

Additionally, you will need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You must also be able to travel to CONUS and OCONUS activities for assigned projects, and be willing to work under demanding conditions in support of military operations.

A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
