Job Summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park. As a key member of our culinary team, you will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Executive Sous Chef and ensure the effective operation of the kitchen and food production outlets.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Sous Chef and kitchen staff in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages.
  • Assist in the training of new staff members and ensure that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of all food served, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of the hotel.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order and that all food supplies are properly stored and rotated.
  • Assist in the control of food costs and ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of their role in maintaining efficient food production.
  • Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station and to maintain a high level of knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Refrigeration and serving of cold food, production of orders, and assistance with food preparation and presentation.
  • Directs proper sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment, ensuring that all team members follow Ecosure rules and procedures.
  • Ensures that all kitchen staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations and that all team members are working together to achieve the highest standards of the hotel.
  • Monitors safety in the kitchen and ensures that all team members are aware of their role in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ensures that all food quality and consistency standards are met and that all team members are aware of their role in maintaining these standards.
  • Knows hotel and kitchen expectations and the proper guidelines for food preparation and presentation.
  • Assists in the checking and controlling of prep and inventory lists for kitchen staff.
  • Assists in the checking of quality and consistency.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include AM/PM shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Required to have at least 6 months culinary experience in a hotel food and beverage environment.
  • Must be Serve Safe Food Handlers Certified.
