Position Overview:

The NYU Grossman School of Medicine, a leading institution in medical education and research, is seeking a dedicated Radiology Patient Flow Associate for the MRI department.

This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless coordination and management of patient movement within the Radiology Department.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and expedite patient care processes, ensuring efficient movement within the imaging section.
  • Act as a primary contact for the radiology department, addressing issues related to escalation, prioritization, and delays in imaging services.
  • Engage with patients and their families to identify care requirements and alleviate concerns regarding treatment delays.
  • Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system to monitor patient status and prioritize their movement effectively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to prepare patients for imaging examinations.
  • Serve as a liaison among radiologic technologists, nursing, and other clinical personnel to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate imaging procedures.
  • Address patient grievances in collaboration with patient relations representatives.
  • Assist in the secure storage of patient valuables and maintain accurate records of their locations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and attend relevant staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess an Associate's degree and have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.

Salary Information:
