We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Patient Flow Associate to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of patients through our imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Patient Flow: Utilize your exceptional organizational skills to coordinate and expedite patient care, ensuring timely and efficient movement through the radiology department.
- Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, radiology staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Manage Patient Care Requirements: Identify and address patient care needs, providing explanations and reassurance to patients and families as needed.
- Utilize Epic System: Leverage the Epic electronic medical system to track patient care and prioritize patient movement, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with Radiology Team: Work closely with radiologic technologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to prepare patients for examinations and ensure proper documentation and exams.
- Resolve Patient Grievances: Effectively resolve patient-related grievances, working closely with patient relations representatives to address concerns and provide solutions.
- Facilitate Patient Valuables: Store patient valuables in designated secured lockers and document locations in electronic medical records.
- Participate in Performance Improvement: Contribute to performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and service.
- Attend Meetings and In-Services: Participate in nursing shift huddles, regular staff meetings, and in-services to stay informed and engaged with the team.
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in radiology or a related field.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
