POSITION SUMMARY:

The Real Estate Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Development and Finance Teams by delivering financial and market insights pertinent to the acquisition, development, financing, and management of affordable housing projects throughout the United States. In this capacity, you will also engage in various responsibilities associated with the oversight and management of the Company’s investments and prospective investments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate and underwrite real estate development initiatives, encompassing affordable, market-rate, and mixed-use projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, market analysis, and feasibility assessments.
  • Identify project risks and formulate strategies for mitigation.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed underwriting reports and presentations to executives, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development teams, architects, contractors, and other relevant parties to gather essential information and insights.
  • Monitor project outcomes and refine underwriting assumptions as necessary.
  • Represent the organization positively by establishing strong relationships with both internal and external clients, with a focus on new business development.
  • Utilize research insights to enhance products, client projects, and business development initiatives.
  • Regularly present compelling trends and analyses to internal teams and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in real estate development, underwriting, or financial analysis is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is characterized by a dynamic office setting with varying noise levels. This role requires both independent work and collaboration within a team. Daily interactions will involve verbal and face-to-face communication with colleagues and clients. Frequent use of a computer and general office equipment is necessary, and confidentiality of client information must be maintained.
