We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Care Specialist to join our team at Positive Development for Youth & Families. As a Developmental Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one play-based care for children and young adults with autism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized care and support to clients with autism, promoting their emotional and relational skills.
- Work closely with our Clinical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients' families, ensuring they are informed and involved in their child's care.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive company culture that values diversity and difference.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with autism, is an asset.
- Ability to commit to working for Positive Development for at least 12 months.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or state ID.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, get up and down from the floor, and actively engage with children.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.
