Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Developmental Specialist to join our team at Rady Children's Hospital. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will provide high-quality care to children and their families, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services, including screening, assessment, treatment planning, and intervention support, to children and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the child's developmental level, abilities, and disabilities.
  • Collaborate with community referral sources, including physicians and other treatment professionals, to facilitate clinical and treatment options.
  • Provide educational information and support to patients, parents, and families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their child's care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and administrative strategies, including producing educational materials and entering documentation into our computer database.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 6 months of experience in a field related to child development.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform data entry, electronic charting, and word processing.
  • Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional education beyond undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Rady Children's Hospital is committed to providing competitive compensation and benefits to our employees. The expected hiring range for this position is $25.47 to $35.03. Compensation decisions consider a variety of factors, including experience, education, licensure, unique skillsets, organizational need, and internal equity.
