Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hospital Service Technician to join our team at Sharps Medical Waste Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to local hospitals and healthcare professionals while ensuring the safe and efficient collection of medical waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and transport RCRA pharmaceutical waste to central accumulation areas within facilities.
  • Travel between facilities to provide on-site placement and collection of Sharp Medical Waste containers.
  • Maintain a rigid collection and service schedule to ensure timely and efficient waste management.
  • Communicate duty status on a defined schedule to ensure seamless operations.
  • Proactively resolve customer service questions, problems, and issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and with little supervision.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between customer facilities.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of sensitivity and compassion in patient rooms, with the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
