Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols of hospital buildings and grounds to detect or deter potential security threats.
  • Respond to emergency situations, calls for service, and other requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide support for safe and efficient parking and transportation services.
  • Assist employees, visitors, and patients with directions, lost and found items, vehicle assistance, escorts, and other requests for assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and members of the healthcare team to provide accurate information and support.
  • Manage verbal and physical conflicts using verbal de-escalation techniques, physical presence, and restraint methods as necessary.
  • Investigate suspicious, criminal, or emergency situations and take appropriate action.
  • Engage in ongoing training and education to maintain professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 21 years of age with a valid Michigan driver's license.
  • LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire.
  • CRT-First Aid - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 180 Days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Public Administration or Criminal Justice.
  • 2 years of relevant related experience.
  • Law Enforcement Academy or Military (active duty) experience.
