Job Summary

As a Traffic/ITS Engineer at DRMP, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing transportation systems that improve safety, efficiency, and mobility. Your primary focus will be on DOT and municipal roadway improvement projects, where you will work on signal and intelligent transportation systems design, safety studies, signing, pavement marking, work zone traffic control, and operational analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement emerging mobility technology solutions, including Connected Automated Vehicle technology, Adaptive Signal Control Technology, and Real-time Travel Time Systems.
  • Prepare design drawings and perform design calculations, quantity estimates, and check calculations and drawings.
  • Develop Concept of Operations (ConOps) and other Systems Engineering documentation.
  • Prepare technical documents, including feasibility studies, concept reports, concept plans, and test plans.
  • Develop request for proposal (RFP) and scope documentation for ITS projects.
  • Perform ITS analysis and prepare design-project plans, specifications, and estimates for various ITS components.
  • Review design plans, specifications, shop drawings, and other technical documentation developed by others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • PE Registration (preferred) or ability to obtain.
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level II (preferred).
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation and Synchro.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
