Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Specialist to join our team at the University of Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with faculty, staff, and graduate students to develop and prepare research grant applications and proposals. This role will also involve managing internal reporting, developing award modifications, and ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with faculty, staff, and graduate students to develop and prepare research grant applications and proposals.
  • Manage internal reporting, develop award modifications, and ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and institutional policies.
  • Develop and maintain documents routinely requested by funding agencies, such as current and pending support, COA spreadsheets, and investigator biosketch documents.
  • Manage internal status systems for proposals and awards, and notify investigators regarding upcoming reporting requirements.
  • Serve as Center contact with regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure conformance with applicable standards and requirements.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge of institutional policies and procedures pertaining to external funding and finance and administration.
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment with a mentor available for guidance as needed.
  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with university faculty and staff.
