Collaboration with the Director will be essential to ensure that children engage in activities that enhance their development, movement, and emotional health.
Key Responsibilities- Implementing the Well curriculum effectively
- Creating and sustaining a safe, nurturing, and healthy educational environment
- Overseeing daily classroom activities
- Monitoring and evaluating children's developmental progress
- Building positive and constructive relationships with families
- Conducting biannual parent-teacher meetings
- Setting age-appropriate expectations for children and employing positive reinforcement strategies using Conscious Discipline techniques
- Assisting with lifting children and/or educational materials
- Engaging in bending, sitting, and standing for extended periods
- Displaying a warm and supportive demeanor towards children
- Adapting to program changes as necessary
- Performing additional duties as required
- Embracing a fun and engaging approach to teaching
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registry of Wisconsin certification or the ability to achieve lead teacher certification (we provide all necessary materials for certification).
- Completion of 10 hours of training in infant and toddler care for those assigned to this age group within six months of starting the position.
- Two years of experience in the childcare sector
- CPR/First Aid certification, SBS Training, and Child Abuse and Neglect Training
- Bilingual abilities (English and Spanish)
