About the Role

Ballard Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Health Information Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Health Information Director in maintaining resident records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, utilizing strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical records or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices.
  • Ability to understand and follow applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ICD coding.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems.
