Job Summary:

Parkview Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Nurse to oversee medical records and provide education to our line staff. As a Part-Time Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and wellness of our clients with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain accurate medical records for up to six developmentally disabled clients.
  • Educate line staff on medical processes, terminology, and best practices to enhance their understanding of client care.
  • Communicate regularly with guardians to provide updates on clients' health status and address any concerns.
  • Attend critical doctor appointments and evaluations alongside clients, advocating for their needs and ensuring clear communication between medical professionals and client support staff.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable medical regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Active nursing license in the state of WA
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey medical information to non-medical staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals
  • Compassion and empathy for clients and their families
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
