Parkview Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Nurse to oversee medical records and provide education to our line staff. As a Part-Time Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and wellness of our clients with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain accurate medical records for up to six developmentally disabled clients.
- Educate line staff on medical processes, terminology, and best practices to enhance their understanding of client care.
- Communicate regularly with guardians to provide updates on clients' health status and address any concerns.
- Attend critical doctor appointments and evaluations alongside clients, advocating for their needs and ensuring clear communication between medical professionals and client support staff.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable medical regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Active nursing license in the state of WA
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey medical information to non-medical staff
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals
- Compassion and empathy for clients and their families
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
