Job Overview

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities. As a Child and Family Therapist, you will provide individual and/or family therapy, case management, crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and may lead groups. This role operates out of the Sea Mar Child and Family Bellevue location but has the flexibility for work from home options and serving youth in limited, select school settings in the Bellevue/Lake Washington area.

About the Role

The Child and Family Therapist will be responsible for assisting in ensuring agency compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts. They will also develop and implement policies and procedures as directed by the Program Director. The therapist will maintain documentation of mental health services and follow through in patient charts. Additionally, they will provide developmentally and culturally appropriate formal and informal diagnostic assessments for each patient during the program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and/or family therapy, case management, crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and may lead groups.
  • Assist in insuring agency compliance with WAC's, RCW's, and other pertinent laws, regulations, and contracts.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures as directed by the Program Director.
  • Maintain documentation of mental health services and follow through in patient charts.
  • Provide developmentally and culturally appropriate formal and informal diagnostic assessments for each patient during the program.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work.
  • A license in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or Social Work (LICSW or LASW).
  • An understanding of chemical dependency treatment and an ability to coordinate mental health services with chemical dependency treatment providers if necessary.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose mental health issues and develop treatment plans based upon diagnoses.
