Job Title: Child Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Child Therapist to join our dynamic team at Sound. As a Child Therapist, you will work with intensive-needs children and adolescent clients with behavioral health disorders.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing assessment, direct clinical intervention, and supportive consultation to children, adolescents, and adult family members. You will also be responsible for delivering therapeutic services in the home, school, and community, while working effectively with other Sound staff and child-serving systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of child and youth development and behavioral health interventions. You should possess the ability to perform individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy, as well as demonstrate a strong working knowledge of mental and/or behavioral health resources in King County.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with families, schools, social service agencies, and other systems of care to develop holistic, strength-based, recovery-oriented therapeutic plans.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic assessment and ongoing assessment of client's strengths and needs.
  • Use appropriate therapeutic modalities to build on strengths and attend to client's needs.
  • Assist in the development of individualized cross-system care plans.
  • Facilitate wraparound planning that supports the strengths and vision of high-needs children and their families.
  • Provide therapeutic support/psycho-education to families.
  • Deliver in-home therapeutic services as indicated in the Wraparound plan.
  • Complete all paperwork according to agency policy and contract requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of directly related clinical experience as a clinician or case manager.
  • Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation preferred.

$29.94 - $31.47 per hour
