About Volt Workforce Solution

Volt is immediately hiring for an Electronics Assembly Specialist in Milpitas, CA. We are a dynamic team seeking skilled professionals to join our workforce.

Salary: $22-$24 per hour

Job Description:

  • Perform component installations and inspections on electronic assemblies/subassemblies along a production line.
  • May perform minor repairs as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly Operations: Assemble, wire, and test electromechanical devices according to specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Tool Operation: Operate hand tools and power tools to assemble components.
  • Quality Checks: Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot any issues in assembled products.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve assembly processes.
  • Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Documentation: Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies.
  • Chemical Handling: Some chemical handling is required (Coolant, adhesive, Thermal grease and alcohol).

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an assembler or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Some experience with soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent hand dexterity.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Comfortable working with small and delicate materials.
  • Ability to follow written instructions provided by the manufacturer to build the final product.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to finish tasks needing completion in a timely manner.
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Ability to lift 5-20 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to use a pallet jack as needed.
  • Must be open to, day or swing shifts with the ability to work some days on first and some days on Swing.
