About the Role

In this role, you will collaborate with the retailer to develop and implement strategy at Target, focusing on driving category performance objectives. Your expertise will be essential in providing retailer-specific insights and recommendations based on data analyses and market research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to drive category performance objectives.
  • Analyze and track performance gaps and opportunities, assortment, retail pricing, and trade promotions against competition.
  • Cultivate internal and external cross-functional relationships to drive category knowledge and growth.
  • Develop and execute plan-o-grams using JDA software in collaboration with Target.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant business experience or advanced degree and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant business experience.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Experiences and Skills
  • Retailer-facing and category management experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the category management process and principles.
  • Ability to develop and execute objective, fact-based presentations through storytelling.
  • Skilled in AOD/IRI, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and space management software (JDA Space Planning and/or Apollo).
  • Accurately analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to uncover observations, insights, and key learnings.
Leadership Skills
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required for building internal and external relationships and working on a high-performance team.
Job Requirements
  • Up to 25% travel is the maximum expectation.
  • Full-time onsite role in Target office, Minneapolis, MN.
  • This role is not eligible for relocation.
